"Oof!" she landed on her bed in a heap, head still spinning from the motion-sickness.
A ringing sound rang in her ears, and she covered her head with a pillow. The sound became muffled, but did not stop. Caitlyn then realized it was her phone.
She snatched it up off her bedtable and hit the 'TALK' button.
"Hello?" she said sleepily.
Naomi's voice burst through the speaker. "Caitlyn! Oh, thank god you're there! Are you okay? You just vanished in the schoolyard, and it was all so weird.."
Caitlyn blinked as the memories flooded back to her, the social studies project, her brother's soccer game, and then... the rest was incomprehensible. She tried to think of a logical explanation, but couldn't.
"Caitlyn? You still there?"
Caitlyn sat bolt upright. "What? Oh, yeah."
"What just happened? Are you alright?" Her friend's voice was tinged with concern.
"I, uh, yeah, I'm fine," she responded, seeing herself over for damage. She was fine, thankfully.
" Huh. I'm coming over," Naomi announced. "I need to see you for myself!"
Caitlyn sighed. Once Naomi's mind was made up, there was absolutely no changing it.
"See you in a few," Caitlyn muttered.
Well, That was that.
